Reports to: Director of Lower School

The Pine School is hiring an Extended Day Coordinator (Part-Time) for the 25/26 school year starting August 2025. 

Summary Description

The Pine School is seeking a part-time staff member for our Extended Day Program. This educator collaborates to create a seamless transition between the regular school day and the extended day. The Extended Day Coordinator reports to the Lower School Director. The goal of our extended day program is designed to enrich our student learning experiences and to provide a fun, safe environment during after-school hours.

Extended Day Program (K-4) is offered Monday through Friday when school is in session.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Establish a rich and engaging environment and supervise students during activities.

● Work with the Lower School Director and instructional staff to support alignment with the regular day curriculum and behavior management.

● Create daily enrichment activities.

● Support students with after-school homework.

● Develop afterschool programs/clubs with teachers on campus and outside vendors.

● Create a safe, clean, attractive, and engaging space.

● Ensure that there are sufficient supplies and materials for all children.

● Work with the business office to keep track of attendance and billing.

● Fulfill the standards of professionalism including appropriate dress, attendance, and timeliness.

Qualification Requirements

● Strong candidates will have experience teaching elementary students.

● Must be energetic, reliable, integrity-driven, and have strong communication skills to ensure effective, positive interactions with staff, parents, and children.

● Applicants should have the vision to help us determine how best to move forward with our extended day program.
